My work unfolds in the space where realism quietly surrenders to expressionism. I approach the canvas figuratively, allowing the forms to emerge through a sensual, intuitive, responsive process. Human presence is suggested rather than being defined by the form, inviting the viewer into a contemplative and sensual encounter rather than a narrative or psychological interpretation. I am drawn to weathered surfaces and restrained palettes.
The layering process of colors is central to the work. Paintings are built through overlayed layers that reveal emerging planes of existence. This method allows the seen and the unseen to coexist, producing character of depth, tension, and subtle shifts in color and texture, giving birth to a direct sensory experience.
I work with oil paint, cold wax, acrylic, metallic pigments, gold and copper leaf, charcoal, graphite, pastel, on paper, canvas, and wood panels. The finished works function more as thresholds—spaces of stillness where form, feeling, and perception quietly converge.
